Our Team 

Initially entering the insurance industry in 2020 as a Data Entry Specialist, Andrew went on to become a licensed broker toward the end of 2021 and is eagerly learning the ins and outs of the insurance world as part of the Crewson Insurance team. Andrew enjoys reading and is also an avid chess player; he always welcomes a game! When not at work, he can normally be found tinkering with his computers or buried in a book.

Ashley joined the Crewson team in March 2021. She is very eager to learn from the best and excel in the insurance world. Ashley grew up in Wasaga Beach with her parents and sister; prior to insurance she spent 20 years in hospitality. When not at work, she loves spending my time with her family, having campfires and golfing.

Billie Jo started working with us in 2015 and has excelled in home & auto insurance customer service. She has brought a wealth of experience from different walks of life and contributes enormously to our office. She is currently pursuing her CAIB designation.

Born and raised in Arthur, Casey gained an interest in client service and accounting through her experience working in small businesses in Arthur. This propelled her to complete a Bookkeeping Certificate at Conestoga College and secure employment at Crewson Insurance working on the front lines. Casey is looking forward to learning the insurance industry and becoming a licensed broker in the future. When not at the Front Desk in our Mount Forest office, Casey enjoys hiking, reading and spending time with her boyfriend and dog.

Darlene joined our brokerage in 2001 to spearhead the launch of our Wasaga Beach branch where she continues to serve. Darlene’s extensive career in insurance has spanned four decades making her one of the most experienced brokers in our area. Darlene is often at the Wasaga Arena taking in her grandchildren’s hockey games.

Dianne Irwin came to us from a local mutual insurance company where she worked for many years as a farm underwriter. She is now responsible for managing many of our large farm, commercial, and municipal accounts. In her spare time Dianne is a fanatical knitter.

Donna has almost 30 years in the insurance business, with the last 10 years at Padfield-Nelson Insurance Brokers Limited. Donna and her husband Brian have four children between them and four grandchildren, and she spends as much time as she can on the golf course!!

Ed received an Honours degree in Business Administration from Brock University & started his career working at Sinclair Cockburn Financial in Toronto. In 1985, Ed & his wife Wendy purchased Delmar Bates Insurance in Shelburne. Since that time Ed has overseen the growth and expansion of our brokerage while actively contributing to our community, most notably by serving as Mayor of Shelburne for 17 years from 1997 to 2014, when he stepped down to run in the 2015 Federal election. Ed received the Shelburne Lions’ Club’s Citizen of the Year award in 2000.

Grant received his diploma in Business Administration Finance from Sheridan College in 2004 and joined our brokerage shortly thereafter. He lives in Orangeville with his young family.

Jennifer has worked at Crewson Insurance her whole life, spending her childhood evenings delivering renewals with her father, Ed. In 2008 she received her degree in Business Communications from Brock University, coming home to Crewson insurance in 2011 and winning the IBAO’s Top Student Award during her licencing. Jennifer spends most of her time troubleshooting with our carrier partners and manages all of our community engagement initiatives. Jennifer currently volunteers on the board of the Shelburne Farmers’ Market and the Headwaters Hospital Foundation fundraising committee.

Julie joined our team in 2009 after the acquisition of Joanne Wood Insurance, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience. In 2016 Julie received her CAIB designation, the first broker at our office to do so.

Kelly began her insurance career in 2008 and her skill and grace has made her an invaluable member of our home & auto insurance team. She has been a lifelong supporter of the Shelburne District Agricultural Society’s Fall Fair and is currently on the organizing board of the Shelburne Flame of Hope Charity Golf Tournament benefiting the Canadian Diabetes Association. She is an avid curler and golfer.

Kristi began her insurance career working as an Automobile Underwriter in 1992 however in 2002 she decided to switch from the Company side to the Broker side and obtained her Brokers License in 2003. Kristi’s main focus has been serving the people of this community through writing their Automobile and Homeowners policies. When she isn’t at work, Kristi enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Meghan is new(ish) to town, but not to insurance. She has over 2 decades of experience in personal lines sales, service, training, claims adjusting and management. She loves being a broker because she can put her clients’ needs first and offer impartial advice. Meghan is pursuing her Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation. When not doing personal & professional development reading, Meghan loves spending time with her family and fur-babies, being in the outdoors and going on canoe trips in Algonquin park.

Morgan, originally from Waterloo is new to the insurance industry though her family is not. Her previous career was in Municipality work, and she completed her college education in the Occupational Therapy & Physiotherapy Assistant program previous to that. Now living in Shelburne, she looks forward to becoming a part of this beautiful community. Morgan spends every day at the barn with her horse Tannis, when she is not at the barn, you can find her dancing or on the golf course with her husband.

Nicky received her diploma in Agricultural Business Management from Centralia College of Agricultural Technology and has spent the better part of her working life in the insurance industry. She received her CAIB designation in 2008. We’re proud to say that with her many years of experience, she is without a doubt a leader in the fields of commercial and municipal insurance. Outside of work, Nicky is an avid reader and enthusiastic hiker.

Scott, born and raised in Mulmur, developed a broad understanding of farming and agriculture by helping out on his family’s farm. Scott graduated from Georgian College with a diploma in Automotive Marketing and from Northwood University with a degree in Business Management. Scott further developed his passion for agriculture by securing employment at Huron Tractor in Cashtown, selling John Deere equipment to the farmers, commercial operations and residents of Dufferin and Simcoe Counties. Scott lives in Shelburne with his wife and young family.

Sherry has been an integral part of the Crewson team since the beginning, joining Ed and Wendy in 1985. Sherry brings her extensive experience and out of the box thinking to personal auto & commercial fleet insurance solutions. Sherry is a notorious motorcycle enthusiast and helps run Grand River Furniture with her husband, Kevin.

Steve was born and raised on his family’s farm in Mulmur and has deep roots in the area – his great-grandfather served as the township’s first Reeve in 1851. Steve started working at Crewson Insurance in 1987, receiving his CIP designation in 1997. Steve’s genuine passion for insurance led him to volunteer as an instructor at the Georgian Bay chapter of the Insurance Institute of Canada from 1998 to 1999. Steve currently works as our Sales Manager and as the Managing Broker of our Wasaga Beach branch, providing guidance and support to both our clients and our front-line staff. When not in the office you can usually find Steve working on his golf game.

Theresa has been a vital part of the Crewson team since 2008, she is excellent in her customer service role and enjoys speaking with clients and helping to solve their problems. In her spare time Theresa enjoys golfing and cottaging.

Deeply rooted in Shelburne, Travis has lived in the community his entire life, he worked at Honda Manufacturing in Alliston for 5 years and decided he needed a change of pace and scenery. Travis completed his RIBO License May 2023 and currently works in Personal Lines where he is building relationships with our valued customers. In his leisure time Travis enjoys golfing and spending time with friends and family.

Wendy received her diploma from the Michener Institute in Toronto and worked as a lab technologist at Peel Memorial Hospital before buying Delmar Bates Insurance with her husband Ed. Wendy manages the day to day finances of Crewson Insurance. She is a devoted mother to Jennifer, Brooke and William, two of which work within Crewson Insurance as well as a doting grandmother to her grandchildren Scottlyn, Morgan, Willow and Sunny.

Whitney is a newcomer to the Insurance business, with her previous career in Registered Massage Therapy, however she brings a knowledge of the community to which she has lived, raised her family and grown up in. Whitney is looking forward to learning and working with the clients at Crewson Insurance. Whitney is currently building her new family home in Horning’s Mills with her husband and her 2 young children. In her spare time Whitney and her family enjoy camping with family and friends.

William, born and raised in Shelburne, he received an Industrial Microbiology Advanced Diploma from Centennial College and a Degree in Microbiology from The University of Guelph. Following his graduation he worked at Neptune Technology Group as a Project Coordinator for 4 years where he trained new technicians and troubleshot problems for homeowners. He has recently come back to the Shelburne area with his young family to learn the insurance industry. William is an avid hiker, gardener and loves being outdoors in nature.
